Designed to enable you to disengage or breakaway from situations of physically challenging behaviour, when your de-escalation skills, through no fault of your own, have not been sufficient to resolve a situation.
This course could be delivered with our Lone Worker course.
This course is also beneficial to those who find themselves travelling alone from time-to-time.
Course Content:
- Explore perception of confrontation/conflict
- Potential risks involved in lone-working
- Recognise why, how and where conflict may occur in the workplace
- Understand a range of communication models
- Understand the law and legislation relating to the duty of care
- Understand how to reduce the risk of harm when physical intervention skills are used
- Discuss post incident management and reporting procedures
